Matthijs is the initiator of Drone Department and a driven drone pilot at heart. He is one of the most experienced pilots in the industry; he started building custom drones as early as 2006. Today, he focuses entirely on high-end drone operations and holds a full EU Specific drone pilot license as well as an EASA drone instructor license.
He ensures that we fly safely and reliably under all conditions. He keeps a close eye on industry developments, ensuring that Drone Department always works with the latest techniques. In his spare time, Matthijs is active as a drone racer, so a video with unique action shots, made with a racing drone, is also possible!
