For composer and director Michel van der Aa's pioneering tech-opera Upload at Dutch National Opera, Drone Department supplied innovative aerial visuals. The multimedia production explores uploading human consciousness into digital avatars and the profound existential dilemmas of digital immortality.

Using cinema drones, we crafted ethereal, surreal top-down perspectives that served as core projection assets and cinematic backdrops integrated into the live theatrical staging.
