For an exclusive international mini-documentary by Mercedes-Benz exploring pioneering Dutch hydraulic engineering, Drone Department captured cinematic aerials of 'The Sand Motor' (De Zandmotor) off the coast of Kijkduin. This revolutionary mega-nourishment sand spit leverages natural North Sea currents to continuously reinforce coastal defenses.

Using cinema drone platforms, we recorded monumental top-downs of shifting tidal lagoons, kitesurfers skimming shallow waters, and Mercedes-Benz all-terrain vehicles navigating rugged coastal access trails.

Our pilots maintained rock-solid stability and crisp focus despite demanding North Sea onshore winds and coastal marine spray.
