Iris van Herpen – Shift Souls (Paris Fashion Week)

During Paris Fashion Week 2019 inside the historic Palais des Beaux-Arts, Drone Department executed groundbreaking indoor FPV drone cinematography for Iris van Herpen's acclaimed haute couture show Shift Souls. Collaborating with kinetic artist Nick Verstand, volumetric laser canopies and ethereal fabrics enveloped models on the runway.

Using a custom-built micro indoor FPV cinewhoop, our pilot glided through the ornate colonnades and inches around multi-layered 3D garments. The continuous flight path delivered a dynamic three-dimensional perspective unattainable with stationary runway cameras.

The resulting film received international acclaim from premier fashion authorities including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle.
