Just Friends (Award-winning telefilm)

For the multi-award-winning romantic drama telefilm Just Friends (Gewoon Vrienden), directed by Annemarie van de Mond and produced for BNNVARA, Drone Department delivered cinematic aerials and on-set prop drone operations. The film chronicles the summer romance blossoming between Dutch-born Joris and Syrian refugee Yad in modern Almere.

Using the DJI Inspire cinema drone, we captured Almere's striking contemporary architecture, open waterfronts, and sun-drenched parks in a lush, warm summer color palette. The visuals elevate the narrative's themes of youthful optimism and freedom.

Our pilots also provided specialized on-set operations for in-story prop drones appearing directly within character interactions.
