ELEVATING FILM

Cinema Drone Operator

With 16 years of film set experience, we provide unrivaled cinematic stability.

A successful drone shot on a film set depends entirely on the expertise at the controls. With over 18 years of experience on high-end film sets globally, our drone pilots and operators speak the language of directors and DoPs. We don't just fly drones; we operate flying cameras to deliver footage that elevates your production's vision and seamlessly matches the main unit's aesthetic.

Experience and Set Etiquette

Working on a professional set requires more than just piloting skills. It demands a deep understanding of lighting, composition, pacing, and lens choice. Our team integrates smoothly into your workflow, communicates directly with the 1st AD, and works quickly and efficiently between takes to ensure production never stalls.

Solo vs. Dual-Operator Workflows

Depending on the shot list and the chosen drone platform, we fly in two distinct configurations to maximize results:

  • Solo-operator: The pilot controls both the drone and the camera simultaneously. This is a highly efficient, mobile workflow, ideal for dynamic indoor FPV fly-throughs and fast action & motorsports chases.
  • Dual-operator: The pilot focuses entirely on the flight path, proximity, and safety, while the dedicated camera operator manages pan, tilt, focus, and zoom. This is the industry standard for complex cinema drone filming with platforms like the DJI Inspire 3.
