For the acclaimed psychological thriller series Sphinx on Videoland, Drone Department delivered comprehensive high-end aerial cinematography. Working closely with Horizon Film and director Diederik van Rooijen, our team crafted dark, claustrophobic aerial perspectives that deepened the suspense surrounding the mysterious reappearance of 14-year-old Minke de Wit.
On set, our pilots deployed dual-operator cinema platforms including customized low-profile Inspire rigs for tight forest and clearing maneuvers. Slowly creeping top-down tracking shots over dense, mist-shrouded woodlands combined with sweeping high-speed tracking along getaway vehicles provided the director with powerful visual storytelling tools.
